Chivo Italic, designed by Hector Gatti of Omnibus-Type, is a free italic sans serif with a forceful forward slant and tall, open proportions. Its stroke widths shift noticeably, lending the capitals a brisk, cut-paper sharpness. The lowercase stays lean and direct.

Poster design is its clearest role, especially for sports campaigns that benefit from lettering with speed and scale. The same urgent silhouette suits magazine covers, athletic branding, and music merchandise, but posters make the best use of its long diagonals and emphatic forward movement across broad formats.
