Victor Moscoso Font

Victor Moscoso by Keith Bates is a free psychedelic display font based on Victor Moscoso's 1960s poster lettering. Its stretched, liquid forms swing between narrow upper strokes and deep bulbous curves, with irregular proportions that feel hand-drawn and slightly surreal.

The flowing silhouettes can echo lava-lamp shapes, swirling illustrations, and warped photographic effects in music posters and album packaging. That melting motif also suits festival merchandise and counterculture-inspired branding, where the lettering can become part of the artwork.

The Victor Moscoso font is based on the 1960s poster lettering of artist Victor Moscoso. Its letterforms originate from nineteenth-century wood type and are derived from Moscoso’s Neon Rose posters from the late 1960s, including the Moby Grape “Neptune’s Notion” poster from 1967.
