Probert Italic Font

Probert Italic by Neale Davidson is a free futuristic sans serif with exceptionally wide proportions and a forceful forward slant. The strokes are clean and mostly even, with smoothly rounded rectangular curves set against sharply cut interior joins. Its speed is unmistakable.

Motorsport branding is the clearest fit, especially for team graphics, vehicle liveries, and event posters that benefit from its aerodynamic sweep. It also suits electronic music packaging and science-fiction game interfaces, where the same streamlined forms echo machinery and motion.

Probert is based on the headers and readouts from Franz Joseph’s “Star Trek: Technical Manual.” It includes the full alphabet, extended punctuation, and the euro symbol. Included versions are regular, bold, italic, bold italic, black, and black italic.
