Pixular by Alexander Kominek of FontStruct is a free pixel font with stepped construction drawn from early computer displays. Square corners and rigid verticals dominate, but clipped curves keep the lettering from looking entirely mechanical. The substantial strokes and tight joins produce a dense, low-resolution silhouette.
It can turn a game menu or digital graphic into part of a deliberately retro interface.
