Luxi Mono Oblique, designed by Kris Holmes and Charles Bigelow of Bigelow & Holmes Inc., is a free oblique monospaced serif with disciplined proportions. Its firm horizontal serifs and changing stroke widths recall formal typewriter lettering. The slant is brisk but measured.
Technical and literary subjects suit its precise, orderly manner, especially on software branding and book covers. It can also shape magazine section openers. The repeated slab-like serifs connect those uses to typewritten documents and computer printouts.
