Joystick Bold Font

Joystick Bold by Neale Davidson is a free heavy sans serif with tall, tightly packed letterforms and a blunt, poster-scale silhouette. Rounded shoulders and softened corners keep the dense strokes from looking purely mechanical.

Bold geometric illustration can repeat its broad silhouettes, making the font a convincing fit for music posters, sports branding, and streetwear graphics. The mix of narrow uprights and bulbous curves also suits arcade packaging, where the lettering can become part of cabinet-style imagery.

The typeface is based on lettering used on Sears' Tele-Games cartridges, which were rebranded Atari 2600 games.
