Inga Stone Signs by Galdino Otten is a free ancient-inspired dingbat font built from rough pictographic symbols. Its blunt, uneven forms resemble marks cut or painted onto stone, with human, animal, and abstract motifs reduced to compact silhouettes.
Archaeology, folklore, and early civilizations are natural subjects for museum graphics, educational publishing, and historical games. The symbols can also become part of map illustrations or artifact-themed packaging, where they function as images rather than ordinary lettering.
These icons were designed based on those symbols entrenched in low relief by pre-Columbian inhabitants in a huge stone in the city of Inga, state of Paraíba, Brazil.
