Hetfield Italic Font

Hetfield Italic, designed by Neale Davidson, is a free Western display font with a steep forward slant and theatrical, high-contrast strokes. Sharp split points and hooked contours give the letters a carved, restless silhouette.

Its notched shapes echo hand-cut saloon signs and suit rodeo posters, country music packaging, and frontier-themed event graphics. The motion is immediate and unmistakable. On merchandise and festival branding, the lettering can become part of a badge or illustrated sign rather than sitting apart as neutral text.
