Harpers by Neale Davidson is a free runic display font whose symbols mix taut angles, looping strokes, and compact emblem-like forms. Each mark has its own silhouette.
A fantasy game interface is its clearest setting, where the varied signs can label maps, factions, spells, and artifacts. It also suits album packaging and event posters, while in publishing the symbols can become chapter emblems or ornamental breaks for fantasy and speculative-fiction projects.

Harpers is based on the signage font in TSR Inc.’s Forgotten Realms box set for the second edition of Dungeons & Dragons. These runes are markers designed to guide knowledgeable Harpers through rough and dangerous terrain. It includes 26 runes based on those found in the box set.
