Grandfather's Hand Font

Grandfather's Hand, designed by Liz Duck-Chong of FontForge, is a free Roman-style display font with tall, exceptionally narrow forms. Its upright strokes and squared tops produce a spare, architectural silhouette, with an open interior running through each visible character.

Architectural drawings and border patterns echo its repeated vertical framework, making it useful for museum posters and historical publishing. It also suits classical event graphics. In editorial work, the hollow column-like letters can become part of an architectural illustration.
