Fjord One, created by Sorkin Type Co, is a free compact serif font with sturdy, sharply cut forms and pronounced thick-thin contrast. The broad capitals and substantial serifs look firm and traditional.

A heritage-minded publisher or specialty food label could use its dense, bookish texture to build a grounded identity. Its economical proportions also suit book covers, museum graphics, and packaging rooted in craft or history. In editorial design, the dark color and crisp serif detail can shape section headings, pull quotes, and cover lines with a distinctly printed character.

Popis

Fjord is a serif typeface, originally designed with printed books in mind, and particularly intended for long texts in small print sizes. Fjord features sturdy construction, prominent serifs, low-contrast modulation and long elegant ascenders and descenders relative to the 'x' height. Fjord performs well in sizes form 12 px and higher but because of its original design and careful detailing Fjord can also be a distinctive font choice for larger text headlines and in corporate design. Fjord is inspired by the feeling found in both renaissance and contemporary typeface design.
