FHA Modernized Ideal ClassicNC Font

FHA Modernized Ideal ClassicNC by Michael Adkins and James Stirling of The Fontry is a free high-contrast serif with a stately display voice. Its broad capitals end in sharp triangular serifs and finely tapered strokes.

In editorial design, its formal scale suits cultural magazines and exhibition catalogues, yet the unusual shapes also sharpen fashion packaging. Sweeping curves and pointed details can echo architectural photography or ornamental line work, turning the lettering into part of the image. It is most convincing on museum posters, where its generous proportions and crisp contrast can set a refined historical note.
