Dirty Play, designed by Anthony Robinson of Anfa in 2010, is a free distorted outline display font rooted in collegiate lettering. Chipped fills and jittery doubled contours give its broad, squared letters the look of a battered print.
Its varsity proportions suit team merchandise, yet the abrasive surface also belongs on punk posters and album packaging. That roughness links sports graphics with underground music. On skate graphics, it can become part of a scuffed badge or hand-printed shop sign.
