Cherry Swash Bold, designed by Natalia Kasatkina, is a free old-school decorative display font with imposing, broad letterforms. Its thick slabs and dramatic stroke changes give the lettering the weight of carved poster type. Deep inward curls recur across the forms and leave decorative pockets reminiscent of scrollwork.
The curled cutouts can echo ornamental borders or engraved flourishes on book covers, event posters, and confectionery packaging. Heritage branding is another convincing home for it. Across these settings, the broad silhouette and scroll-like details let the lettering function as both a brand name and a substantial piece of rich period ornament.
