BigBottom by Roland Frantz of Synergistic Designs is a free cartoon display font with lanky, hand-drawn forms and dark lower sections. Uneven outlines and changing stroke widths keep the shapes loose. The bottom-heavy fill is its defining joke.
That split between airy tops and solid bases suits children's publishing and offbeat food packaging, where lettering can behave like illustration.
