Benthem is a free retro display font with tall capitals and an Art Deco outlook. Fine hairlines shape the letters. Closely spaced inline strokes fill selected verticals and diagonals, giving the airy forms an architectural texture.

Art Deco references make it especially convincing for fashion branding and cocktail bar menus. The narrow proportions and striped detailing also suit theater posters and period-themed event graphics, where the lettering can echo borders or stage scenery. In editorial design, it gives magazine covers and feature openers the polish of a 1920s title.
